Need bikepacking gear for a race or event? Looking to try first before investing in your kit? Rockgeist offers bikepacking rental gear with the goal of supporting new bikepackers in the Southeast. Currently we are only renting gear from our workshop, located just north of downtown Asheville in Woodfin, North Carolina.
Should you choose to buy the retail version of your rented item, your rental cost will be credited to your purchase.
How to Reserve Your Gear
- Email [email protected] with the gear you are looking to rent and the pick up and drop off dates at our workshop.
- Sign the waiver at our workshop! (Everyone using rental gear must complete the waiver before receiving gear.)
- Enjoy your trip!

Showed up with just my bike and left with a full kit. Rockgeist took the time to get my hardtail dialed with bags and answered all my questions about gear, how to pack, etc. I rode their “Three Things” route and had a blast. Highly recommend stopping in if you’ve been thinking about trying an overnight.
