Hurricane Helene Relief Shirt

From: $35.00

A fundraiser to help with rebuilding our workshop after Hurricane Helene. Designed and screen printed in Asheville by our very own, Emmy. Much like the bags we make, these shirts are made with care, one at a time.

Shirts will ship in about 5-7 business days.

To help with our fundraising the minimum price is $35. Any contribution above that price is not expected but greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your support!

We've had a print of Katsushika Hokusai's "Under the Wave off Kanagawa" in the workshop since day one. I found the print in a dumpster outside my Boston apartment when moving to North Carolina. I always thought it depicted what it's like to run a small business; fighting against the current of larger forces with determination and resolve.

Emmy took inspiration from Hokusai's print and created "Helene or Highwater". Her print carries the same message that I see in the original. It represents our determination to meet the challenges of rebuilding our business. All proceeds will be put towards restarting our workshop in a new location (higher up from the river) and help us get back to making our bags again. Thank you all for contributing to our path forward. - Greg

Emmy makes most of our welded, waterproof bags and she’s been moon lighting with design and screen printing work for as long as we’ve known her. We think she’s damn good at it and are thrilled to share her work with you all!

Our dear friend Emily (Cameron Creative Co.) put together this video to capture this moment in time. A special thanks to PRESSIO and Fuel Goods for giving us space to set up the temp work area seen in the video and for fundraising to help get us on our feet.

We’re feeling extremely grateful for our local Western NC community and bikepacking community at large. We look forward to the day when we can give back and help enrich these communities that have pulled us up. Onwards we go.

A few photos of during and after 5 feet of the French Broad River flooded our shop. We’ve been in this 3,000 square foot space for almost 8 years. Head here for more information about our rebuild. Â
